A snack cart send-off to welcome your staff back and kick off the year right.

Surprise your staff, right in the middle of the craziness of back to school season.
Why try it
Your staff is gearing up for another school year, setting up classrooms, reconnecting with colleagues, getting ready for their students. Rolling a cart through the hallways during the first week back is an easy way to build morale, create positive energy, and remind staff they’re supported from day one.

Things you'll need

Instructions
Prep ahead
Gather all items 1–2 days before and store in a bin or box so nothing gets forgotten morning-of.
Load up
Load the cart the morning of, grouping snacks together and supplies together so staff can easily see what's available. Print and display the sign at the front of the cart.
Map your route
Plan a route that covers the whole building — don't forget the front office, custodial staff, kitchen, and any staff who don't have a traditional classroom.
Check in
Don't just drop and dash! Say hello, ask how they're doing and how setup is going, and take a moment to connect before moving on to the next room.

Adapt to fit your school's vibe, budget, and setting.
Add a "new year intention" sticky note station
Leave a prompt like "One word for my year..." and a place to post responses.
Include a small note from admin
Tuck them into each item bag for a personal touch
Make it stationary
No cart? A table in the staff lounge or lobby works just as well.
