Tailgate Favorites
A resource to bring game-day energy to the staff lounge.

Bring game-day energy to the staff lounge with a tailgate-themed potluck. Staff sign up to bring their favorite game-day dishes, from sliders and dips to chips and slow-cooker favorites, and gather for a fun, casual lunch together.
Why try it
A themed potluck gives staff something to look forward to and a reason to sit down together outside of work talk. Food is a natural connector, and the tailgate format keeps it low-pressure and fun.

Instructions
Set a date and share the sign-up
Pick a date and post the included sign-up sheet in the staff lounge or share it digitally. Give staff at least a week to sign up and claim their dish.
Send a reminder
A day or two before the potluck, send a quick reminder with the date, time, and a note encouraging finger foods and slow-cooker items so staff with short lunch windows can still participate.
Set up and celebrate
Before lunch, clear a table and set out serving utensils, napkins, and plates. Add any decorations or signage to set the game-day tone, then gather staff and let the conversation flow.

Additional tips for running this resource.
Leader Tip #1
Seek a donation
Reach out to your local grocery store or PTO to donate a bigger item like hot dogs or hamburgers to anchor the spread.
Leader Tip #2
Keep a copy on file
Save the sign-up sheet after each potluck so you can see who brought what and rotate dish types for future events.
Leader Tip #3
Tie it to a game
If there's a big game on the calendar, schedule the potluck around it for a natural hook. The Super Bowl, a local rivalry game, or the first week of football season all work well.
