Celebrate every role on your school team, one puzzle piece at a time.

Each staff member decorates a puzzle piece that reflects who they are. When all the pieces come together on the wall, you get a visual reminder of what makes your team whole.
Why try it
The start of a new school year is a natural time to help staff get to know each other. This activity gives everyone a simple way to share something about themselves while creating a display that builds over the first few weeks of school. By the time the puzzle fills in, you've got a visual that shows your whole team at a glance.

Print and prep the pieces
Print one blank puzzle piece for each staff member. You can use a uniform four-piece template or cut individual pieces from card stock for a more freeform look.

Invite everyone in
Let staff know they each have a piece to complete. Give them a prompt or two to respond to so everyone knows what to put on it.

Build the puzzle
As pieces come in, start arranging them on a bulletin board or hallway wall.

Celebrate the finished picture
Once the puzzle is mostly complete, take a moment to recognize it. Point it out at a staff meeting, share a photo in your newsletter, or spotlight a few pieces each month to keep the energy going.
